League play

Mythic Arena is a standard 3v3 Rocket League league. The regular season runs for eight weeks, with doubleheaders during weeks 6 and 8. Each week runs from Monday through Sunday night.

Regular-season series are best of 5: the first team to win three games wins the series. Each tier has a minimum of eight teams. Players are placed into Founding, Hero, or Divine based on peak MMR from the last three Rocket League seasons in Doubles or Standard.

TierPeak MMRSalaryTeam cap

Rosters & movement

  • Teams must roster four active players before Season 1 and on a weekly basis.
  • Roster lock begins at the start of week 8. After lock, releases are only available for extenuating circumstances approved by Council and League Operations.
  • Teams must remain at or below their tier’s salary cap during all roster movement.
  • Captains may be non-playing captains; their salary does not count while inactive. Returning to the active roster requires cap space and freezes their salary.
  • Transactions are not final until posted in #transaction-notices. A player may not play an official match before the transaction is posted.
  • A player cannot return to a team they left, were released from, or were traded from during the same season.
  • Trades require both captains’ agreement and GM/AGM approval. Council may veto extreme trades, apply a no-trade clause, or allow a 24-hour appeal.

Rank-outs

Players may self-rank out before roster lock when they are the highest-salaried player in their division. Forced rank-outs can follow an MMR overage, unusually high win rate, or performance above league benchmarks. Self-ranking out is permanent.

Competition rules

Standings are ordered by regular-season wins. If teams tie, use head-to-head record, game differential, series wins, total goals, then a best-of-3 between the tied teams.

All eight teams make the single-elimination playoffs. Playoff series are best of 5, except the championship, which is best of 7.

Approved maps are DFH Stadium, Mannfield, Champions Field, Urban Central, Beckwith Park, Utopia Coliseum, Wasteland, and Neo Tokyo. Series use US East by default and no mutators. A game played with mutators must be replayed.

Unreported accounts are not eligible for league matches. Games played on an unreported account are automatic forfeits. Captains, GMs, AGMs, or owners must submit replays by Monday at 11:59 PM EST.

Scheduling

  • Each team must offer at least three possible dates and times for every series.
  • At least one of the three offered dates must be on a different day from the other two.
  • Teams should use good faith to find a fair date and time that works for both teams and fits the tournament’s overarching schedule.
  • Once a date and time has been agreed upon and passed, the series may not be rescheduled.
  • A team that is not ready at the agreed time, does not show, or is more than 15 minutes late forfeits the series.
  • There may be no more than five minutes of downtime between matches in a series.
  • A team may reschedule a series no more than twice. A third reschedule results in a series forfeit.

Match day

  • Series must be scheduled Tuesday through Sunday unless staff approves Monday play.
  • The away team confirms scheduling in the proper league channel.
  • For streamed series, teams must be ready 15 minutes early. Ten minutes late forfeits game 1; fifteen minutes late forfeits the series unless rescheduled in advance.
  • For non-streamed series, teams must be ready 15 minutes early and field three players or forfeit, unless rescheduled beforehand.
  • A disconnect with no more than one minute elapsed and no goal scored requires a restart. A disconnected player has 10 minutes to return, followed by a League Manager’s five-minute final allowance.
  • Forfeits must be reported within 24 hours. The result is a 3–0 series win for the other team.

Player expectations

  • Read and understand both this rulebook and the Social Conduct Policy.
  • Do not smurf or sandbag. Smurfing enforcement includes at least a season suspension and retroactive forfeits.
  • Respond to captains, GMs, and League Managers within 48 hours unless you have already communicated that you are unavailable.
  • Show up when you commit to a scrim or match, save replays, and report misconduct with all available evidence.
  • Players may leave a team before roster lock or after the postseason. Extenuating-circumstance releases require valid proof.
  • Names may change once during the season and must be reported. New tracker links are required for Epic and console name changes.

Code of conduct

No one is exempt, including staff, the Board of Directors, and owners. Mythic Arena may adjust the recommended penalty when circumstances warrant.

Harassment, threats, hate speech, doxing, non-consensual sharing of personal information, spam, scams, impersonation, and other disruptive behavior are prohibited. Instigating someone to violate the policy can receive equal or greater discipline.
